Another fab weekend for Huui!
At Yuggera Canine Club, Huui picks up 4/6 BOB on offer (our Pink snapping up the other 2 BOB) and converting those to;
**Best in Group 4th** Mrs T Kirkland (Vic)
**Best in Group 4th** Mr B Llobet (Puerto Rico)
also awarding CACIB 🏆 NEW C.I.B TITLE! 🏆
**Best in Group 2nd** Mr K Berg (Norway)
Now 3 years old, Huui has really come in to his own and is looking better than ever. Bronwyn Frewen-Lord & I are so very proud of all our Clown Boy has achieved & thank the many judges who have thought so highly of him.
This past weekend, we travelled north for 5 shows - back to some shows in my home region of Central Queensland for the first time in nearly 9 years.
Oh what a trip it was!!
The absolute superstar was Huui!!
Pioneer Valley & Sarina Kennel Clubs
**BEST IN SHOW**
**4x BEST IN GROUPS**
**1x RUNNER-UP BEST IN GROUP**
Ripley, despite sporting a summer coat,
was awarded;
**1x JUNIOR IN SHOW**
*3x JUNIOR IN GROUPS*
It was sensational weekend of results & seeing old friends. Well-run shows, awesome ring conditions & yummy canteen options!
Can't wait to plan our next trip. Well worth the 20 hour return road trip.
Special thanks to the best travel buddy & Huui's co-owner, Bronwyn Frewen-Lord & also to "Mr Shiba", my supportive hubby, for always taking the best care of our team who stay home with him.
May might be my new favourite month!
The month began with a NEW CHAMPION! At the Western Suburbs Kennel Club, Ripley finished his title in style with an 11 point BOB & RUNNER-UP BEST IN GROUP - from the Puppy Class!!
Now officially known as; Australlian Champion Ilsonyo Believe It Or Not Masakado (IID USA)!
The titles kept on coming, with NEW CHAMPION, Fu! At the Pine Rivers & Redcliffe Kennel Clubs, Fu finished her title with 9 & 8 point BOBs and is now officially known as; Australian Champion Ilsonyo For Love Nor Money Masakado (IID USA).
Fu is adored & co-owned by Dana Clifton (KazokuShiba - SA) but has been home on a Showcation while Dana raised a litter of puppies. We will miss her terribly when she goes home in June but know they're going to have some great fun in the ring & sports together.
A couple of weekends off dog shows has seen Pink having a blast, doing what comes naturally to most Shibas - chasing!
At the Beaudesert Kennel Club Sprintdog trial, Pink earned the final points required for her NOVICE SPRINTDOG TITLE!! Now known as; American Grand Champion / Australian Champion Masakado Mark Side Of The Moon N.SPRT* (Imp USA).
I am so incredibly proud of all our dogs have achieved so far in 2025. I'm sure the best is yet to come!
To say I'm proud of Huui & Bronwyn would be an understatement of mass proportions!
**BEST IN SHOW**
*BEST AUSTRALIAN BRED IN SHOW*
Awarded at the Warwick Show & Rodeo Society Inc. by judge Mr Serge Tassan (QLD).
I am absolutely elated for Bron and have not been able to wipe the silly smile from my face all weekend. Huui being Bron's first Shiba, first Group Winner, and now....the big one! I'm only sorry I wasn't there to see it myself.
Congratulations Bron & thankyou for giving our boy every opportunity to succeed. Huui really hit the jackpot when he landed on your couch (& I did too). xxx

Not yet 2.5 years old, we are so very proud of all Obi has achieved & believe the best is yet to come.
Obi is bred by Denise & John Clark (NZ), owned by Jennifer Nield (NZ) & myself and adored by all of us.
Our deepest gratitude to the owners of Obi's Sire, Bill & Lynne Fletcher (Kuro Oka Shiba - USA) for entrusting Jen with the frozen swimmers that made this special boy possible. We hope that Stormy's breeder, the late Marianne Ross, is looking down smiling.
*Title pending Dogs Queensland confirmation
Where to even begin!
Obi-Wan has had an absolutely stellar return to the ring after a couple of months off to blow & grow his coat.
From 12 shows, Obi's August achievements include;
3x BEST IN GROUPS
2x RUNNER-UP BEST IN GROUPS
BRISBANE ROYAL GROUP 4TH
BRISBANE ROYAL UTILITY SHOW 3RD
More human than dog. Sensible. Goofy. Affectionate. Wicked sense of humour. Independent. Obi-Wan is all these things & so much more. We wouldn't change a thing.
My deepest appreciation to his breeders John & Denise Clark and to co-owner Jennifer Nield for sharing "Boof" with me.
Our darling, Pink, did an incredible thing & brought with her to Australia, FOUR beautiful red babies!
Sire of these babies is the incredibly stylish;
Group Winning, BISS
Am Grand Champion
San Jo Back In Black
ATT FDC BCAT TKN ATT FITB (USA)
or "Angus" to his friends.
Angus is bred by Lindsay Tompkins (Masakado Shiba)/Leslie Engen (San Jo Shiba) & owned by Krissy Stanford (Coquina Shiba)/Leslie Engen.
My most sincere appreciation to these ladies along with Tia McLaughlin (Kumi Shiba & Lhasa), who flew with Pink clean across the USA to meet with Angus and make these little miracles possible.
The future looks bright!
Follow us on Instagram to follow along with these babies' journeys.
Welcome to Australia our darling, Pink!
We are so very happy & proud to finally welcome Pink (Am GCh Masakado Mark Side Of The Moon) to Australia.
I again want to thank the amazing and supportive ladies, without whom, my little dream boat wouldn't be here.
Pink has taken the entire process in her stride, wasting no time selecting her position on the couch and meeting her new pack. I look forward to Pink's Aussie debut and all she might achieve.
Feeling blessed.
